Artificial intelligence is developing at remarkable speed. Organisations are investing heavily in new tools, employees are finding new ways to use them, and regulators are increasingly focused on ensuring that AI is deployed responsibly. 

Many financial services firms have moved quickly to establish AI policies, governance frameworks and approval processes.  That's necessary.  But it doesn't answer a more difficult question: 

We've all done it. Set a goal with real conviction (to get fitter, finally tackle that project, change how you lead) and watched it quietly evaporate a few weeks later. Why? Was it that you didn't want it enough? Or was something else missing?

Here's the part I find most interesting after years of using this with clients: which of the five you find hardest usually isn't random. It tends to track with how you're naturally wired.

I've spent a lot of time in training rooms over the years, particularly during my career in asset management across Europe and the US, and one thing has become very clear to me: people simply don't all learn in the same way. It sounds obvious when you say it, but I still think it's something we can easily forget when designing and delivering professional training.
