Bank for International Settlements - Training case study success story

Bank for International Settlements

Challenge:

The client wanted a course tailored to cover the specific accounting issues related to their planned PP&E activities.

Solution:

We had a call in advance to review PP&E activities the bank planned to undertake and discussed the various types of costs that may be incurred. In the session, we applied the principles in IAS 16 (capitalize or expense costs, subsequent measurement), IAS 36 (impairment) to their specific activities, and also discussed areas where judgement and estimates may be required.

Results:

The in-person training covering client's specific issues was well received by participants from both finance and non-finance teams.

European University Institute - Training case study success story

European University Institute

Challenge:

The client wanted practical insights on IPSAS 43 Leases based on specific terms in their contracts to help them implement the new standard.

Solution:

We had a call with the client before the course to understand the type of contracts that could be potentially leases under IPSAS 43 and discussed the terms and conditions. Based on this a tailored approach was adopted to provide one-day virtual training (spread across two half-days) using relevant case studies.

Results:

Feedback from participants was that we were able to discuss answers for questions related to the organisation in a very clear and accurate way.

I really enjoyed the training. I found Saket excellent. He is so prepared in general, but he also was able to give us answers for questions related to the reality of our Institute in a very clear and accurate way. Saket delivered the training very dynamically involving the participants and rendering the training very light. The time allocated for each topic was perfect allowing the participants to clarify the doubts. I am 100% satisfied with the training and the trainer.
