AI is transforming manufacturing roles - but are your managers equipped with the people skills to lead through the change?

At Neupauer Ltd, we partner with HR leaders and operational managers in manufacturing organisations navigating AI-driven change. We help managers and frontline teams build the communication, confidence, and conflict capability required to maintain performance, engagement, and collaboration as roles evolve. The outcome: fewer people issues escalating to HR, stronger cross-functional working, and managers who can lead change without damaging morale.

The problems we help HR teams solve

1. Line Managers avoiding difficult conversations

Managers promoted for technical expertise often lack the confidence or skill to address performance concerns, resistance to change, or interpersonal tension. HR ends up mediating issues that should be resolved within the team.

2. Rising friction between departments

As AI reshapes workflows, responsibilities blur. Operations, sales, production, and customer-facing teams experience misalignment, miscommunication, and growing frustration that impacts productivity.

3. High performers feeling threatened or disengaged

Top technical contributors may feel exposed when asked to take on client interaction, sales conversations, or cross-functional collaboration. Without support, this can lead to withdrawal, defensiveness, or attrition risk.

4. Managers struggling to lead through uncertainty

AI adoption creates anxiety about job security, role clarity, and future expectations. Managers are expected to reassure and guide their teams — but many are not equipped with the interpersonal tools to do so effectively.

5. Increased HR time spent on interpersonal escalations

Minor misunderstandings, perceived disrespect, and communication breakdowns escalate into formal grievances or ongoing people-management challenges.

How we work

We deliver tailored soft skills training using genuine scenarios from your organisation — not generic theory. Participants work through real interpersonal challenges in a structured, professionally facilitated environment.

They leave with:

Practical frameworks for handling difficult conversations

Tools to manage emotional responses under pressure

Greater self-awareness and accountability

Confidence in client-facing and cross-functional interactions

Strategies to prevent small tensions from becoming formal issues

This is not motivational speaking. It is applied, scenario-based development focused on measurable behavioural change.

Client has approached me to help them with strategies to engage their employees. Mainly to gain valuable feedback and reduce staff turnover.

Solution:

As with all of our training, we gave our client a choice to explore solutions they felt were relevant to their problems and fitted with their existing strategies to maximise the impact. Offering a range of solutions helped them see what is possible but also what might work with the circumstances they had. Client put their learning in place just days after our session which helped engage their team

Mia has a passion not only for the training but mainly, making a difference to everyone attending her courses. She naturally curious and isn't afraid to ask thought provoking questions, looking at interpersonal issues from all angles. Mia is a great listener, which helps her navigate and adapt each session to suit needs of all her delegates. She's always looking for new ways to improve her knowledge and therefore, the training sessions. What's most important, Mia enjoys all aspects of training. From preparing the materials to running training sessions and following up, helping delegates embed their learning.

Effective Communication

17 Jun, 2025In Person

5/5

"I found it really helpful for us to think about different personality/communication styles, what works and doesn't work with different people. Also, the training was absolutely spectacular, really enjoyed it. Perhaps this was improved by the quality of the group, but I found it to be really interactive, I really appreciated that you let us speak to each other during the training; sharing our reflections and ideas. Thank you so much.

How to be assertive

5/5

Mia facilitated an Assertiveness course for the charity I work at, WayfinderWoman. She had fantastic communication throughout the run up to the course, and the course material was really well put together. Mia had great feedback from the course on her training style, and even when presented with unexpected challenges, she always found a way to work around it, make the participants feel safe and valued and create the best possible outcomes for them. I loved working with Mia and hope to continue the working relationship in the future.

Emotional Intelligence in Business

Mia ran a really interesting Emotional Intelligence training session for our team. Great learning that also stimulated incredibly useful internal discussion to help everyone. There were real lightbulb moments about: 💡understanding and managing our own and others' emotions and triggers 💡checking in with colleagues about why you and they feel a certain way about something 💡understanding that we can all use a familiar term to describe an emotion, yet 'feel it' very differently 💡adapting work scenarios to suit everyone as best as possible, to avoid feeling uncomfortable/stressed with particular people or activities I would highly recommend getting in touch with Mia about a session for your workplace - so useful!
