I really enjoyed how the course made business feel less overwhelming and more doable. The topics were explained in a simple way, and I liked that we had a mix of practical tools (like SMART goals and SWOT analysis) and creative thinking activities like SCAMPER. I also enjoyed the discussions about what success means, and the Ikigai session was really interesting—it made me think more about what motivates me personally.

This was my first time training outside of my university programme, and it has given me so much knowledge. It was better for me.

[FIRST have] greater understanding of what this space needs in terms of approach, content and connection to the wider ecosystem than most providers. The willingness to take a partnership approach and deliver for the good of the beneficiaries really stands out.

We contacted FIRST to run a confidence and networking session for our aspiring leaders programme. The session was energetic, fun and gave our colleagues some fantastic ideas in how to develop networking skills for professional development. The feedback from the delegates was excellent and we wouldn’t hesitate to use FIRST again to deliver as part of our leadership programme.

I feel that it has prepared me to be able to work on my own and everything has been so useful to me.

I think Julianne was lovely, the way she spoke kept me engaged and it was very interesting. Her style of teaching was easy and flowing.

My key plus points were gaining clarity on business development; networking & learning from others; engaging with others including advice from trainers and gaining insights from different perspectives from others on the course; building confidence; feeling more prepared and motivated to take the next steps.

I think it provided a lot of good foundational structured, and helped with doubts and reassurance - instilled some knowledge that was already there but in a more practical sense being able to apply them directly to the business.

I was really happy about how hands on things were with the course, having the pitching session and then actually pitching. Teaching actual business skills that you need rather than just theory. I feel I haven’t found that in other courses I’ve done before.

I recently had the pleasure of participating in the "Understanding Enterprise" course, and I must say it was an exceptional learning experience that exceeded all my expectations. As someone with a budding interest in entrepreneurship and business management, this course provided me with a solid foundation and a comprehensive understanding of the intricate workings of enterprises. The course content was meticulously curated, covering a wide range of topics that are crucial for anyone aspiring to navigate the complex world of business. From the fundamentals of business models and organizational structures to strategic planning, marketing, finance, and even ethical considerations, every aspect was meticulously addressed, leaving no stone unturned.
