Anyone in a customer-facing role needs a range of selling and communication skills in order to build client relationships and do their job to the best of their ability. Equipping your team with skills in sales, key account management, networking and presentation, customer service, and leadership and management is essential for business growth and your bottom line. I deliver in-house sales training to small and large teams, both online and face to face. While I love to work with field and internal sales teams in large multi-site, multi-contact organisations, I also enjoy supporting individuals and business owners through my accessible, public training courses.

Everyone needs to be a sales person in some way or another. You have to sell yourself to get work. You have to convey the benefits of what you bring to the table to keep the work … It’s such a huge part of what we all do every day and we don’t always give the necessary TLC to nurturing the best way of selling and not feeling awkward about it. In December I had such a fun and enriching day learning the rules of play on all things sales with Charlie McIntyre at his sales training and business communications course hosted in person in - where else!? - Sale. We even covered some basic maths and business know-how too as is evident in this photo. If you’re looking for a thorough, enjoyable one day course where you’ll leave with new techniques, an understanding of where conversations and opportunities fell flat in the past and a few belly laughs too, then I would highly recommend Charlie and his next one day sales course. Hopefully it will run again soon. Thanks for a brilliant session Charlie!

We were a small team and I thought it would be best to have an external resource carry them out as staff may be more honest and open with someone they weren't line managed by every day. It was a huge success - Charlie quickly gained their trust and worked with them in a positive way to bring forward a number of concerns or issues that could be positively resolved by the Practice, but which may have gone unmentioned if it had been myself that had asked the questions. Charlie was able to provide succinct and relevant reports which identified which areas we needed to address and work on over the coming months. We subsequently used Charlie to carry out the appraisals for a further five years and last year he spent time training our new Operational Manager so that she could bring the service back in house. I have no hesitation in recommending Charlie to any business, whatever its size, who wants to engage more fully with its staff.
