About Legacy Business Cultures
Visit WebsiteEmployee Training to Make Your Workplace More Effective, Your Leaders More Successful
Legacy Business Cultures is a workplace training, coaching, and organizational development firm. For more than 27 years, it has helped businesses, government agencies, and nonprofits build workplaces that are more respectful and resilient. Founded by Paul Meshanko, author of The Respect Effect, the firm has trained over 500,000 people across 5 continents in 30+ languages.
The Business Case for Respect
Disrespect at work is expensive. It drives turnover, invites harassment and discrimination claims, and erodes the trust that high-performing teams depend on. Organizations that invest in respect-based culture don't just avoid these costs — they see measurably higher engagement and, per industry research, up to 218% higher revenue per employee. For HR leaders and executives, this isn't a compliance box to check. It's a performance strategy.
Leadership Development That Gets Results
Every organization already has the raw ingredients for its next generation of leaders — what's usually missing is the right guidance. Legacy's leadership development curriculum is built around three domains every effective leader needs: personal mastery (self-awareness, values, and leadership brand), relationship mastery (coaching, conflict navigation, and building a culture of respect), and technical mastery (communication, performance management, and critical thinking).
Delivered as a modular 1-to-4-day program by facilitators who've been leaders themselves, the training is built to help both current and emerging leaders apply what they learn immediately — not just sit through it. Clients including Apollo Mechanical Services and Eddie Bauer have used it to guide new managers and supervisors through mergers, restructuring, and rapid growth.
Who We Work With
Legacy has partnered with organizations ranging from 20 employees to 200,000+, across manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, government, law enforcement, and education. Clients include DuPont, Johnsonville, Cleveland Clinic, Progressive Insurance, and Toyota, alongside federal agencies such as the U.S. Coast Guard, EPA, and EEOC. Legacy is also a GSA contract holder (GS-02F-032CA), serving federal, state, and local government.

Johnsonville
Johnsonville wanted to create a company-wide cultural focus on Respect reaching employees across multiple locations, cultures, and languages.
After a successful pilot, Johnsonville launched Connecting With Respect® across the organization using Legacy's train-the-trainer process. Workshops brought together employees from manufacturing, sales, headquarters, and international teams. Members created Codes of Cooperation, and training was delivered in English, Spanish, and Mung (among others) with multilingual support.
Johnsonville exceeded its goal, training 85% of 1,400 employees in the first year, with many saying it was the best training they had ever attended.
Dupont
Respect for People was a core DuPont value, but lacked the structure, focus, training, and resources supporting the company's other core values.
Legacy Business Cultures customized the Connecting With Respect® (CWR) workshop for DuPont's global rollout. The company committed to training 700+ facilitators worldwide, delivering respect training in 20 languages, and supporting the initiative with leadership, communications, metrics, and dedicated resources.
After 5 years, over 90,000 DuPont employees completed the CWR training, rating it the most impactful of any cultural training ever rolled out.

Connecting with Respect
24 Jul, 2026 • In Person
This was the best training I've ever been through at our company. Not only was Paul and outstanding facilitator, but the content we covered as a team was relevant to creating healthier relationships both at work and in our personal lives. We need to do more training like this.
Safe Spaces

I truly enjoyed the training — and it covered so much more than I had expected it to, in a VERY tangible, practical way. For a tough subject that was expected to last 4 hours, our instructor made it comprehensive, memorable, and fun.

Overall, the workshop was very insightful and easy to follow. The group interactions were very helpful and allowed us to better understand our team members. Building our Code of Collaboration was a great take away. This training was definitely an eye opener in how I/We act on a day-to-day basis and how it affects others.
Executive Coaching
02 Jun, 2025 • Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)
I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the coaching you have provided me. The sessions have truly opened my eyes to different perspectives, and I have grown tremendously from them. The tips and strategies you shared were new to me and incredibly valuable. I felt understood and not judged during our sessions, which allowed me to share honestly and comfortably. As a result, I have experienced significant growth both professionally and personally. Thank you for your time and for sharing your knowledge and perspective with me. Not only have I benefited from your coaching, but the employees who report to me will also see and feel the positive changes I've been able to make thanks to your guidance.

Great content...and fun! I really liked that the presenter was passionate about what he was speaking about and not just reading a PowerPoint presentation to tell deliver the information. When someone believes in what they are talking about, it makes a greater impact on those hearing the information.
Connecting with Respect

My entire team loved the webinar. In particular, I loved the distinction between suspicion and curiosity and the different behaviors that come from both. I think this is a great way to frame differences of perspective and the importance of viewing things with an open mind. The only thing I would change is to do these sessions in person in the future!
The Road to Inclusion
14 Feb, 2024 • In Person
This course was an important reminder about practical ways to lead and facilitate a respectful work environment with inclusion as a backdrop. The concepts were taught in an easy-to-understand manner and our facilitator did a good job keeping the topics moving where the full day of training did not seem overwhelming.
Blindsided Unconscious Bias Training
09 Feb, 2023 • Virtual - On-demand learning
Thank you! We all have biases, and they can be managed in a healthy and productive way. I think this course should be rolled out to our entire company.
Safe Spaces - Avoiding Harassment & Discrimination
15 Mar, 2021 • Virtual - On-demand learning
Safe Spaces was very informative and painted a very clear picture of how our actions can jeopardize others, the company, and even ourselves. Discussing the real-life scenarios was particularly helpful.
