Andrew Ball
About
He has over 20 years of experience managing projects, campaigns, and teams in the voluntary sector, as well as a short stint as a Primary School Teacher. Andrew Ball has directly worked with homeless young people, individuals struggling with drug/alcohol addiction, offenders, and those living with dementia all affected by and coping with poor mental health. Throughout his career, he has emphasised employee well-being as one of the most crucial factors in achieving a team's objectives, believing that when a team thrives, so does the organisation. Over the last 3 years he has had some fantastic results working with small and large organisations identifying the different ways to raise awareness of mental health and implement an effective wellbeing strategy. One of his proudest moments was delivering a presentation to the Queen and receiving an award for 'Bringing People Together' at Alzheimer's Society, presented at St James' Palace. Andrew has a genuine passion for mental health in all aspects of his life, whether it be running, parenting or work. He brings a wealth of experience in transforming teams using a person-led approach. As a lifelong learner, he frequently listens to podcasts and seeks out new ways to build resilience and manage mental health in the workplace. An avid runner, Andrew understands the role of sports in managing one's mental health. He holds the post of Welfare Officer and Mental Health Ambassador, not just in his local club, but also in supporting others in looking out for their clubmates.
