Norman is an experienced executive and leadership coach, as well as an ICF (ACC) coach, Gallup Strengths Coach, Soundwave@ certified coach, and a people-centric talent developer. With over 20 years of corporate experience across both the public and private sectors, Norman has held numerous prominent positions in organizations within industries such as luxury retail, hospitality, travel, and healthcare. This diverse background enables him to deliver inspiring and practical insights to a global audience through keynote speeches, workshops, and coaching. Norman brings a fresh perspective to the field of talent development and is often referred to as the “non-HR HR.” He holds an engineering background and successfully transitioned into human resources, where he became a catalyst for change. He also possesses multiple professional certifications, including ABNLP (American Board of Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Ethical Influence Certified Instructor, Soundwave Certified Instructor, DICS Certification, FIRO-B Certification, and the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ). He is also an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Before becoming an independent consultant, Norman served as Group Human Resources Director at National Healthcare Group, Human Resources Development Director at Sentosa Development Corporation, Vice President of Human Resources for Sephora Southeast Asia, Director of Organizational Development & Human Resources and Regional Learning & Development Manager for Asia & Greater China at Channel, Senior Manager of Learning & Talent Development for Asia Pacific at Estée Lauder Companies, and Organizational Development Manager at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. He leverages his expertise in Organizational Development (OD) and Human Resources (HR) practices to help businesses achieve sustainable growth and performance improvement. He works closely with clients to focus on enhancing leadership capabilities, fostering a positive organizational culture, and optimizing team dynamics. In his organizational development consulting, he adopts a practical and people-centric approach to empower businesses to adapt to change, drive innovation, and achieve strategic goals. Additionally, he designs and delivers bilingual (English and Chinese) corporate training solutions on topics such as leadership and management skills, career planning, and presentation skills. He also provides personalized executive and career coaching services to professionals, helping them enhance their leadership, strategic thinking, and career development.
