ActionAid International

ActionAid International is a global non-governmental organization founded in 1972, focused on combating poverty and injustice worldwide. With its headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa, it operates in 45 to 47 countries, making it unique as an international development organization based in Africa. ActionAid aims to empower people living in poverty and exclusion to claim their rights, working with over 15 million to 25 million individuals and partnering with more than 2,000 local organizations.
