About Adrian Ashton

I'm an award-winning provider of training programmes across multiple sectors; gained international interest for my work in developing remote and hybrid approaches to creating and delivering corporate learning programmes; and annually openly report on the impact of my courses to participants' subsequent skills and confidence in their role.

Training programmes are offered to all levels and roles within an organisation - from supplementing the induction of new teams; supporting the transition of people in developing new skills and knowledge as part of restructuring; to whole Boards in ensuring that they remain compliant and culturally focused.

Programmes can also be offered as part of the strategic development of consortia and clusters - several organisations coming together to explore and develop their understanding and application of a shared process or topic, helps to strengthen subsequent collaborative and partnership working between them.

The format of training sessions can also flex widely, according to circumstances and need: I've developed and delivered micro-learning modules via YouTube playlists; to new degree modules, courses, and MOOCs for Universities.

As well as training programmes that can range from a single short informal session, to larger multi-module courses delivered over several months, the following services are also available to supplement and enhance the training offers:

- individual coaching, to best enable individual learners to fully embed, adopt, and utilise their new knowledge and skills;

- mentoring to in-house training managers, to support them in the development of their respective organisations' processes and systems;

- market research and benchmarking, to inform specific content of bespoke programmes.

Training courses can also cover less 'typical' content, and offer specialisms relating to:

* governance

* team development

* organisational values and culture

* collaborative/partnership working

* understanding, managing, and reporting impact and ESG

Social Impact Reporting (and others)

Mar 6, 2025  ·  In Person

5 / 5
We have booked Adrian to deliver multiple training sessions this year, including Social Impact Reporting, Cashflow Forecasts & Budgets and Business Planning. These have been a mix of shorter 'bitesize' online and longer in-person sessions, and we have had consistently excellent feedback for all. Adrian draws from a wealth of knowledge and experience from supporting a diverse range of Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise sector organisations for several decades. Aside from his encyclopedic knowledge, he brings a welcome sense of fun and is extremely engaging as a trainer - getting everyone actively involved, asking questions and keeping sessions interactive, practical and energised. All of our session participants have left enthused by the subject, keen to further develop their knowledge and skills. Adrian has been very flexible and easy to work with - sensitive to the original brief but also willing to make helpful suggestions for possible tweaks and changes to enable a training session to better meet its aims. Highly recommended!

managing imposter syndrome

Feb 25, 2025  ·  Virtual - On-demand learning

5 / 5
Adrian delivered a brilliant, fun and prop-filled session about imposter syndrome to an online gathering of the member of the CIEP (Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading) Berkshire group in 2024. He was the first person to lead a session with the group and his straightforward, friendly and slightly quirky approach inspired us all and helped us see that imposter syndrome isn't something to be feared – quite the opposite, in fact. His book, Loving your doubt, is well worth a read. Thanks so much, Adrian!

Legal structures and governance for (social) enterprise

Feb 20, 2024  ·  In Person

I repeatedly use Adrian as a trainer on our development programme because he is able to translate his huge amount of knowledge (and it is huge) into real world, accessible and entertaining workshops. His ability to share and exchange knowledge is fantastic and he can make the most dense of subject matter feel surmountable, and even fun. He is warm and accommodating with learners and has the most up-to-date knowledge of anyone I’ve met in the field.
